Description:

KPI (Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc.) polypropylene production plant is located in the Atyrau region of Kazakhstan and is the country's first integrated gas chemical project. The plant began operations in November 2022 and has a production capacity of 500 thousand tons of polypropylene per year. The main technologies used at the plant are Catofin and Novolen from the American company Lummus Technology Inc. Similar complexes operate in only five countries worldwide: Saudi Arabia, the USA, Belgium, South Korea, and China. The raw material used is propane from the Tengiz field, purified from hydrogen sulfide and other harmful impurities, with a purity of at least 95%. To ensure the quality of raw materials, energy resources, and finished products, the plant operates a Swiss testing laboratory, SGS. Currently, the plant produces 10 grades of polypropylene: PP H030 GP/7, PP H031 BF/7, PP H036 BF/7, PP H120 GP/7, PP H250 GP/7, PP H253 FF/7, PP H270 GP/7, PP H270 FF/7, PP H350 GP/7, PP H350 FF/7. These grades are widely used in construction, agriculture, medicine, food industry, textile industry, and for the production of consumer goods. Thanks to advanced technologies, our production fully complies with modern environmental requirements. The KPI plant produces about 1% of the world's polypropylene, fully meeting Kazakhstan's domestic demand. Among KPI's regular clients are all the major processors in the country.
